We're in Trouble

It seems each of our boys comes even more talented than his older brothers at getting into mischief. Ammon is particularly interested in water and does not consider much to be an obsticle for getting to it. There was the toilet at first- which we have tried to stop by keeping the bathroom door shut. But that can be difficult due to the fact that three boys are constantly running to and from the bathroom and the need for speed can overcome any training to stop and shut the door (and the toilet lid for that matter). Well, anyhow he has now discovered (once I started putting the stools behind shut doors) that all he has to do is shove a chair over to the sink and the party can begin. I thought as long as there wasn't anything in the sink full of water I was OK because he can't reach the faucet handle but he has shown new depths today.

At first he discovered Aaron had put a bowl of water in the sink with a frozen roast in it to defrost a bit. Ugh! After cleaning up the bloody water from off him and the floor and counter....etc... I thought his water fetish was satisfied for the day. Not so. For a couple of minutes ago I found him as pictured below. He found the casserole dish from dinner (yes- where the roast had cooked) soaking in the sink. It's handles extended perfectly beyond the edge of the sink leaving just the right amount of room for a young toddler to climb from the chair into the sink and sit under the dish. Now he had a perfect water table in front of him. With the addition of a dirty bowl he was ready to roll! Gideon saw him first and came running to tell me. I couldn't believe it- so I decided to get the camera. So...I know at this point my mom is thinking 'what comes around goes around' as I have heard how curious and difficult I was when young. Experiences like this make it hard to open my eyes in the morning sometimes! :)

Here he is waving like a celebrity when he saw me come with the camera...

and some closeups of the fun...
