Happy Holidays 2007

The closing out of this year, 2007 ushers in both the Christmas season and the beginning of our family blog webpage. Christmas is such a special time for me as a certain stillness seems to settle around me and the joy's I feel become more meaningful. The world seems to tremble with an extra chord of celebration for the life and love that surrounds us. Yes, I know- I am waxing poetic and it isn't one of my natural talents! :) But I guess it's another aspect of the season for me. I had hoped that our new camera would have arrived today so I could take some new pictures to add to this first posting but alas, I must wait. I promise to also make the boys put on their Halloween costumes again so I can put those pictures on here too. I am very excited about our new camera and am itching to put it to use.

This week has been very busy already for us. We were hardly home today as Aaron spent the day in Seattle working on his current remodel job for our cousins, Kim and Tim Vanderhoof and I went to Bremerton with the boys to get information regarding a large sewer problem with our Bremerton property. Fortunately the news was encouraging and after many stops along the way we finally got home. After dinner and putting the boys to bed Aaron and I stayed up and watched a movie while wrapping our traditional gift to family and friends (we only started giving this particular gift last year but have decided to make it a tradition- lucky you!) In the past I have always done the wrapping and it was so wonderful to have an extra pair of hands! Fortunately the movie wasn't very engaging otherwise I think it might have gone slower. Perhaps we should think of a seasonal movie we both like that we could watch every year while we wrap these gifts?? Any favorites you have- let me know!

Our Christmas cards are about ready to go out and I am pleased this year that we have simplified the process by putting all of our family pictures on the snapfish website where you may view them and if you really like one- order one printed off for yourself. This way you don't have to feel guilty about throwing away the 1" x 2" family photo that we can afford to have printed up in a large quantity and slipped inside our card to you! :()

We plan on putting up the tree on the first family home evening of December (one week from now) and I should most certainly have photos coming to you by then!

For now, sleep well and my visions of sugar plums or expensive audio-video equipment dance in your heads!
