Up Goes the Tree!

We put up the Christmas tree for Family Home Evening on Monday night.
To do so, Aaron had to crawl under the house to run a new cable line up into our laundry room where I wanted the computer hutch (a beast of a furniture to move) relocated to make room for the tree in the living room. Thank you Aaron!!! Once that was done the business of setting up the tree commenced. Aaron had the boys help sort and spread out the branches before putting them on the tree 'trunk'- really just a metal pole with slots for the branches about every 10". Then I realized I had thrown out all of the christmas lights from last year so Aaron went to the dollar store to purchase some (which they did not have) and after a detour to Walgreen's he came back and strung them up. ...I had decided to throw out the lights because inevetably every year the ones I packed away the year before don't work and it isn't worth the frustration so I had decided to just purchase new ones. Only I forgot all about it. While Aaron was gone the boys danced and romped around the room to the Christmas music.
I thought for sure one of them was going to fall on Ammon as he wanted so much to be part of all the excitement and kept crawling into the center of the celebration. The boys were very excited to put on the ornaments and were dissapointed that not more of the ornaments had their names on them. "Why are so many of them daddy's?" Gideon wanted to know. He will have more in time. What is time to a five year old? So the tree is up and Christmas music plays constantly. The boys love most to listen to the Chipmunk Christmas Album. It was hard to pick just a few of the dancing pictures as the boys were in rare form and I am still camera happy :)
